Butterfly in The Bamboo
I am fascinated by the playful nature of butterflies as they flutter around on sunny days. In this painting, you can see one fly around a bamboo plant, which is a symbol of integrity and strength. In Chinese culture, butterflies are considered good luck and are often depicted in paintings celebrating a long life. This painting was created using traditional brushes and watercolours on dyed Xuan paper with gold flecks. It is now ready to be mounted, framed, and posted.
Measures 23 cm x 31.5 cm
*Please note this is an original painting done by hand so that some imperfections could be visible. Also, since Rice paper is so delicate, the edges could appear “ratty” upon arrival, but once framed will look perfect.
