Bodhidharma

Bodhidharma, also called Daruma, was a semi-legendary Buddhist monk who lived in the 5th or 6th century. He was the creator of Kung fu! How cool is that.

His name means "dharma of awakening (bodhi) in Sanskrit.

Painted with traditional brushes and watercolour on dyed Xuan paper with gold flecks.
